All the yarns used to create Doris Domestic Knits are sourced by local fibre artists, donations, and thrift store shopping. Many of the yarns are one of a kind and discontinued by the original manufacturer. Keeping material costs low maximizes donations to women’s mental health programs at The Royal. At the same time, purchasing from charity shops also helps the community. In addition, repurposing these yarns benefits the environment by reducing our carbon footprint.
