JENNY
Proud daughter of Doris and mother of Juliet, I now look back on my almost 74 years of life with much gratitude.
Officially a Baby Boomer, born in post-war Britain in 1947, life was not always easy. Knitting was not only a hobby but also a necessity.
It was far more economical to knit garments than to buy them during those days of austerity. I learned to knit at the age of 5 and graduated
from doll’s clothes, baby clothes and sweaters, to knitting myself a lacy dress in the 60’s. I was married at 19 in 1967. In 1975, with two young children,
Juliet age 6 and Justin age 2, we made the big move to Canada. We have never looked back. Our twin sons, Edward and Kristian, were born in Ottawa soon after we arrived.
So, we have been truly blessed with four beautiful children and subsequently 11 beloved grandchildren. This week my husband and I not only celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary,
but also the launching of this wonderful web site dedicated to my Mother, Doris. You will find it choc full of wonderful memories, sayings and, most importantly, fabulous,
unique, hand knitted items! Treat yourself - you’re worth it! This is a completely inspiring web site spotlighting women’s strength, beauty and mental health.
